(1)DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATIONVardenafil orally disintegrating tablet is not interchangeable with vardenafil 10 mg film-coated tablets (LEVITRA).
Overdose/Missed Dose
Ask your doctor if you are not sure if any of your medications contain nitrates. do not take street drugs containing nitrates such as amyl nitrate and butyl nitrate ('poppers') while taking vardenafil. some medications should not be taken with vardenafil. Other medications may cause dosing changes or extra monitoring when taken with vardenafil. Make sure you have discussed any medications you are currently taking or plan to take before starting vardenafil with your doctor and pharmacist.
When This Medicine Should Not Be Used:
Before starting, stopping, or changing any medications while taking vardenafil, please get the advice of your doctor or pharmacist. the following herbal product may interact with vardenafil: St. John's wort. Be sure to let your doctor and pharmacist know that you are taking these medications before you start taking vardenafil. Do not start any of these medications while taking vardenafil without discussing with your healthcare provider. Vardenafil orally disintegrating tablet provides higher systemic exposure compared to vardenafil 10 mg film-coated tablets (LEVITRA). (2.1)Vardenafil orally disintegrating tablet is taken as needed, orally, approximately 60 minutes before levitra alternative sexual activity. 6.2 Postmarketing Experience
tell your doctor if you smoke and if you have ever had an erection that lasted more than 4 hours. Also tell your doctor if you have or have ever had a condition that affects the shape of the penis, such as angulation, cavernosal fibrosis, or Peyronie's disease; diabetes; high cholesterol; high or low blood pressure; irregular heartbeat; a heart attack; angina (chest pain); a stroke; ulcers in the stomach or intestine; a bleeding disorder; blood cell problems such as sickle cell anemia (a disease of the red blood cells), multiple myeloma (cancer of the plasma cells), or leukemia (cancer of the white blood cells); seizures; and liver, kidney, or heart disease. Also tell your doctor if you or any of your family members have or have ever had long QT syndrome (a heart condition) or retinitis pigmentosus (an eye disease) or if you have ever had severe vision loss, especially if you were told that the vision loss was caused by a blockage of blood flow to the nerves that help you see. Tell your doctor if you have ever been advised by a health care professional to avoid sexual activity for medical reasons. you should know that vardenafil is only for use in males.
What is tadalafil (Cialis®)?
Women should not take vardenafil, especially if they are or could become pregnant or are breast-feeding. If a pregnant woman takes vardenafil, she should call her doctor. if you are having surgery, including dental surgery or any dental procedure, tell the doctor or dentist that you are taking vardenafil. you should know that sexual activity may be a strain on your heart, especially if you have heart disease. If you have chest pain during sexual activity, call your doctor immediately and avoid sexual activity until your doctor tells you otherwise. (5.1)Strong and Moderate CYP3A4 Inhibitors: Do not use vardenafil orally disintegrating tablet in patients taking strong or moderate CYP3A4 inhibitors.

What happens if I miss a dose?
If you experience a sudden loss of vision while you are taking vardenafil, call your doctor immediately. Do not take any more doses of vardenafil or similar medications such as sildenafil (Viagra) or tadalafil (Cialis) until you talk to your doctor. Some patients experienced a sudden decrease or loss of hearing after they took vardenafil or other medications that are similar to vardenafil. The hearing loss usually involved only one ear and may not get better. It is not known if the hearing loss was caused by the medication.
Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (Orphan)
If you experience a sudden loss of hearing, sometimes with ringing in the ears or dizziness, while you are taking vardenafil, call your doctor immediately. If you experience a serious side effect, you or your doctor may send a report to the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program online ( or by phone (1-800-332-1088). Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Dispose of unneeded medications in a way so that pets, children, and other people cannot take them. (5.3)Effects on the Eye: Patients should stop use of vardenafil orally disintegrating tablet, and seek medical attention in the event of sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes, which could be a sign of non arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).

In case of overdose, call the poison control helpline at 1-800-222-1222. Information is also available online at If the victim has collapsed, had a seizure, has trouble breathing, or can't be awakened, immediately call emergency services at 911. Do not let anyone else take your medication. Ask your pharmacist any questions you have about refilling your prescription. Keep a written list of all of the prescription and nonprescription (over-the-counter) medicines, vitamins, minerals, and dietary supplements you are taking. Vardenafil orally disintegrating tablet should be used with caution, and only when the anticipated benefits outweigh the risks, in patients with a history of NAION.
- Liquid Levitra should be measured with a proper device.
- Avoid mixing with hot liquids to prevent degradation.
- Keep the medication stored at room temperature.
Patients with a “crowded” optic disc may also be at an increased risk of NAION. (5.4, 6.2)Sudden Hearing Loss: Patients should stop vardenafil orally disintegrating tablet and seek medical attention in the event of sudden decrease or loss in hearing.

- Report any unusual symptoms to your doctor.
(5.5, 6.2)Alpha-Blockers: Caution is advised when PDE5 inhibitors are coadministered with alpha-blockers. In some patients, concomitant use of these two drug classes can lower blood pressure significantly leading to symptomatic hypotension (for example, fainting). In patients taking alpha-blockers, do not initiate vardenafil therapy with vardenafil orally disintegrating tablet.
Additional Information
tell all your health care providers that you are taking vardenafil. If you ever need emergency medical treatment for a heart problem, the health care providers who treat you will need to know when you last took vardenafil. if you have phenylketonuria (PKU, an inherited condition in which a special diet must be followed to prevent damage to your brain that can cause severe intellectual disability), you should know that the rapidly disintegrating tablets are sweetened with aspartame, a source of phenylalanine. if you have fructose intolerance (an inherited condition in which the body lacks the protein needed to break down fructose,[a fruit sugar found in certain sweeteners such as sorbitol]), you should know that the the rapidly disintegrating tablets are sweetened with sorbitol. Tell your doctor if you have fructose intolerance.
