The operators of these sites take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We handle your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the legal data protection regulations as well as this privacy policy.

In cooperation with our hosting providers, we strive to protect databases as effectively as possible from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or falsification.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g., when communicating via email) can have security gaps. A complete protection of the data from access by third parties is not possible. By using this website, you agree to the collection, processing, and use of data in accordance with the following description. This website can generally be visited without registration. During this, information such as the pages accessed or the names of the retrieved files, date and time is stored on the server for statistical purposes without these data being directly related to your person. Personal data, in particular name, address, or email address, is collected as far as possible on a voluntary basis. Without your consent, no data will be disclosed to third parties.

1. Processing of Personal Data

Personal data are all details that refer to a specific or identifiable person. An affected person is a person whose personal data is processed. Processing includes any handling of personal data, regardless of the means and procedures used, particularly storing, disclosing, obtaining, deleting, storing, modifying, destroying, and using personal data.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law. Furthermore, we process – to the extent that the EU GDPR is applicable – personal data in accordance with the following legal bases in connection with Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR:

Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR) – The affected person has given consent to the processing of their personal data for a specific purpose or purposes.

Contract fulfillment and pre-contractual inquiries (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR) – The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the affected person is a party, or to take steps at the request of the affected person prior to entering into a contract.

Legal obligation (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR) – The processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject.

Protection of vital interests (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. d GDPR) – The processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of the affected person or another natural person.

Legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR) – The processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the affected person which require protection of personal data.

We process personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or purposes. In the case of longer storage obligations due to legal and other obligations to which we are subject, we restrict the processing accordingly.

Relevant Legal Bases

In accordance with Art. 13 GDPR, we inform you of the legal bases for our data processing. If the legal basis is not mentioned in the privacy policy, the following applies: The legal basis for obtaining consent is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a and Art. 7 GDPR, the legal basis for processing for the performance of our services and for the conduct of contractual measures as well as for answering inquiries is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, the legal basis for processing to fulfill our legal obligations is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR, and the legal basis for processing to protect our legitimate interests is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. In cases where processing personal data is necessary to protect the vital interests of the affected person or another natural person, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. d GDPR serves as the legal basis.

Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures in accordance with the legal requirements, taking into account the state of the art, the implementation costs, and the nature, scope, circumstances, and purposes of processing as well as the varying probabilities of occurrence and the severity of the threat to the rights and freedoms of natural persons, to ensure a level of protection appropriate to the risk. These measures include in particular securing the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data by controlling physical and electronic access to the data as well as access, entry, disclosure, ensuring availability, and separation of data. Furthermore, we have established procedures to enable the exercise of data subjects’ rights, the deletion of data, and responses to data breaches. Additionally, we consider the protection of personal data already during the development or selection of hardware, software, and processes in accordance with the principle of data protection by design and by default.

Transfer of Personal Data As part of our processing of personal data, it may occur that data is transmitted to other bodies, companies, legally independent organizational units, or individuals, or are disclosed to them. Recipients of this data may include, for example, service providers tasked with IT operations or providers of services and content that are integrated into a website. Cookies

This website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that contain data from visited websites or domains and are stored by a browser on the user’s computer. A cookie is primarily used to store information about a user during or after their visit within an online offer. Stored information may include, for example, language settings on a webpage, login status, a shopping cart, or the point at which a video was watched. We also include other technologies that perform the same functions as cookies (e.g., when user information is stored using pseudonymous online identifiers, also referred to as “user IDs”).

The following types and functions of cookies are distinguished:

Temporary cookies (also: session or session cookies): Temporary cookies are deleted at the latest after a user leaves an online offer and closes their browser.

Permanent cookies: Permanent cookies remain stored even after the browser is closed. For instance, the login status can be saved, or preferred content can be displayed directly when the user visits a website again. Similarly, the interests of users, used for reach measurement or marketing purposes, can be saved in such a cookie.

First-party cookies: First-party cookies are set by ourselves.

Third-party cookies (also: third-party cookies): Third-party cookies are mainly used by advertisers (so-called third parties) to process user information.

Required (also: essential or strictly necessary) cookies: On the one hand, cookies may be absolutely necessary for the operation of a website (e.g., to store logins or other user entries or for security reasons).

Statistical, marketing, and personalization cookies: Furthermore, cookies are generally also used for reach measurement and when the interests of a user or their behavior (e.g., viewing certain content, using functions, etc.) are stored in a user profile on individual web pages. Such profiles are intended to display to users content that corresponds to their potential interests. This process is also referred to as “tracking,” i.e., tracking potential user interests. To the extent that we use cookies or “tracking” technologies, we will inform you separately in our privacy policy or during the collection of consent.

Notes on Legal Bases: The legal basis on which we process your personal data using cookies depends on whether we ask for your consent. If this is the case and you consent to the use of cookies, the legal basis for processing your data is the declared consent. Otherwise, the data processed with the help of cookies is processed based on our legitimate interests (e.g., for the economic operation of our online offer and its improvement) or, if the use of cookies is necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations.

Storage Duration: If we do not provide you with explicit information about the storage duration of permanent cookies (e.g., as part of a so-called cookie opt-in), please assume that the storage duration can be up to two years.

General notes on revocation and objection (Opt-Out): Depending on whether the processing is based on consent or legal authorization, you have the possibility at any time to revoke an granted consent or to object to the processing of your data through cookie technologies (collectively referred to as “Opt-Out”). You can initially declare your objection via your browser settings, for example, by disabling the use of cookies (which may also limit the functionality of our online offer). An objection to the use of cookies for online marketing purposes can also be made using a variety of services, especially in the case of tracking, through the websites https://optout.aboutads.info and https://www.youronlinechoices.com/. Additionally, further objection notices can be obtained in the context of the details regarding the service providers and cookies used.

Processing of cookie data based on consent: We use a cookie consent management procedure, in which the consents of users for the use of cookies, or the processes and providers mentioned in the cookie consent management procedure, are obtained and can be managed and revoked by the users. Here, the consent declaration is stored to avoid having to repeat the inquiry and to be able to provide evidence of consent as per legal obligations. The storage can occur server-side and/or in a cookie (so-called opt-in cookie, or using similar technologies) to assign the consent to a user or their device. Subject to individual provisions regarding the providers of cookie management services, the following information applies: The duration of storage of the consent can be up to two years. Here, a pseudonymous user identifier is created and stored with the time of consent, details regarding the scope of consent (e.g., which categories of cookies and/or service providers) as well as the browser, system, and used end device.

Processed Data Types: Usage data (e.g., visited websites, interest in content, access times), meta/communication data (e.g., device information, IP addresses).

Affected Persons: Users (e.g., website visitors, online service users). Legal Bases: Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR), Legitimate Interests (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR).

3. Your legal agreement with “YouTube” consists of the terms and conditions available at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/static?gl=en&template=terms&hl=en. These provisions form a legally binding agreement between you and “YouTube” regarding the use of its services. When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to the US servers of the respective companies. We point out that the USA is not a safe third country in terms of EU data protection law. US companies are required to surrender personal data to security authorities without you as the affected individual being able to take legal action against this. It cannot therefore be ruled out that US authorities (e.g., secret services) may process, evaluate, and permanently store your data located on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.

9.
